Our story
From WATTORA to Northwest Toys
NWToys began life as WATTORA, the Washington chapter of the Tacoma Territory Off-Roader's Association (TTORA, later the Toyota Territory Off-Roader's Association). Chris Cole founded it, and in 2001 Rob Perin took over as president.
For years WATTORA was one of the busiest chapters in the association, with at least one event every month and often many more. The club earned a name as an active off-road crew and as good stewards of the trails we all share.
When the TTORA parent club sold its domain and forum to a company turning club sites into ad-driven properties, WATTORA walked away. It became Northwest Toys and moved from WATTORA.com to NWToys.com, and it has stayed ad-free and supported by member contributions ever since.
Trail closures across the Pacific Northwest, and a shift from forums to social media, thinned the crowd. The club never went away. WATTORA.com is still registered and now points right here.

We believe in keeping access open, sharing the spaces we have left and not trashing the place. Expect to be called out if you aren't on the same page.

The club rules
No spam
No ads here, and there never will be. Share a product you use or a site you find helpful, but sellers and unrelated links get banned without notice. If in doubt, ask first. Classifieds are the one exception, and only for member-related posts.
Play nice
Disagree with ideas, not with people.
Politics
Just don't. There are plenty of places for that. Land-use talk can drift close, so keep it out of the weeds.
No hate speech
Same goes for religion, race and other polarizing subjects. They are better left to other forums.
PG-13
Keep it clean. In speech, clothing and behavior, think crowded public place, not a rowdy night out.
Moderators have the final say
We'll adapt the rules to what the community wants and we'll review a decision if asked. Once it's closed, let it go. Somebody has to run the ship.
